I absolutely love this song. I think metaphorically, it's about a couple whose relationship never seems to work out because their lives took completely different paths. Their relationship is on/off because something always prevents them from being together but eventually they end up happily together. "Another pin pushed in To remind us where we’ve been And every mile adds up And leaves a mark on us" All the problems they had to endure only strengthens their love. Maybe I'm completely missing the point, but that's part of my interpretation. |
