FOB actually originally wrote the song as a way to show young girls that they can be whoever they want. Be famous like uma thurman. It was meant to talk about how people have always seen women as lesser but in the future it will change whether people like it or not |

This song is about how much they hate how dirty and commercial music is becoming. It's been said before and it doesn't matter because no one is listening Mailing letters to a ghost town means talking to people who won't listen. The secret is that artists don't care about fans they only care about money. It's no good because they don't care that its out. It was meant to hurt but it doesn't. The artist don't care because they don't care about their fans. In the next verse they are saying the artists just scream in the mics because they're bored and their songs are just about love and sex and have no meaning.. When they say they no longer obsess over living and such it has two meanings. 1) to say that they are obsessed with their music as a band and 2) to make fun of sond=gs about sex and how stupid and empty they are. THe slam poem at the end is about maybe leaving music behind because it feels like a waste |

It helps a lot if you watch the video. It is the story of a boy finding out his father has been killed in war. At first it is him asking to be ok. "Wash the sorrow from off my skin..." "Hardly anything there for you to see..." means the boy thinks he is nothing. The boy then decides to be a soldier like his dad. "Hardly anything else I need to be..." is him saying "I may be small and not important, but I am still good." The video gives the analogy of soldiers in battle. Alone one isn't much, but together the army can collapse an empire. The boy also brings his life full circle by doing for a young girl what was done for him as a child. But the meaning goes deeper. A castle of glass would be fragile. Life and people are also fragile. We may be small, but we are good enough. |

It s obviously a divorce situation. The drank and gambled so Vic s mom left. First is mike- he talks about what it all looks like. Next is supposed to be Vic s dad- he hates what he s doing but he wont stop.Last is Vic- he s asking why and how they're gonna get through everything. But the meaning goes deeper. It's a message to be careful what choices you make. Because of his dad, Vic became a drunk too. be careful of your habits because people may follow. Be careful who you watch, you may end up like them- whether you like it or not. Speaking from experience. |

I think when they ask which came first they re asking if the songs came first or what they are about did. FOB writes a lot about what they go through as a band. And most of it highlights what they don't like has happened. So they are saying "did we write the songs first or did the things they re. About come first?" |
