@[relvas:6219] That is a beautiful reading of the song. It's very fluid but the song was written for the radio DJ John Peel, who was a great friend and mentor to Nina. She used to visit him at his family home and, I guess, she would sing for him there too. John peel died in Mexico in the town of Cuzco so the song is on one level very specifically about not seeing him before he died but more generally it is about love, friendship and regret. I think it's also aboutimportance of telling a loved one that they are loved before it is too late and about regrets at not having done so. |
