It's about contrasts. There is somebody who is completely torn between good and evil and lacks any feelings - be it love or hate. That person doesn't know what to do and has to make choices that he (or she) is unable to make. |

This is a song about all the metalheads and all that metal music is related to - freedom, energy, loud noise, headbanging, unity and being oneself. It just explains all of it. The "No wind of change could bring us down" line is probably the most important. No matter what the current trends are, metalheads listen to the same music. |

My interpretation is that it's about Earth getting demolished by a world war and nobody expecting that. Those who survived are running away to a different planet - "Shining bright so far beyond the sun" and "We're flying into space". |

Pretty obvious - someone was turned into a zombie and is spreading the infection now. It's interesting how they change the subject in the chorus. For the first time it's - "Infected, but *I* am not alone. *MY* days are numbered". In the second chorus it's WE and OUR. And in the final one - YOU and ALL - the army of zombies grows. |

Just a fantasy tale - i don't think there is a second meaning to it. If there is, though, it would be something like "don't care about the past and don't mind the propecies, just do your thing and look into the future". |

One has to look no further than at the two lines - "Will you follow the masses or follow your own?" and "Before your future will be carved in stone". It's a message like "Be yourself, it's your life, go after your dreams".
Not sure about what these "legions" are. It may be, that the lyrical subject is somebody who is going to die soon and therefore those who are already dead are calling for him, so he wants to warn the next generation not to waste their lives ("Future meets the past"). Again - not sure about this part, though. |

| HammerFall – The Templar Flame Lyrics

It's hard to tell what exactly this song means, but...
There are frequent mentions of visions and seeing things. "Take a look at me", "Take a look around", "You see the words". Surveillance and infrared are mentioned aswell. The lyrical subject here is also throwing accusations at someone - "You've ruined what we had" etc.
That being said, this song is about somebody who is able to see and understand way more than the person he's talking to. That person could have probably been someone very important for him, but ruined the relationship between them so now he is left alone with his point of view. He realized that the machine (governments etc.) controls everybody with the usage of modern technology, often in such a way, that nobody would notice (therefore - infrared - related to technology and also infrared waves cannot be seen) except for him. He is a rebel and his goal is to finally find freedom ("The Templar Flame" would represent this freedom) and he encourages people to see his message and raise their voice ("Speak of the flame").
TL;DR - it's about blind society that is controlled and doesn't even know about it.
That's what i think. |
