| Interesting view above, I see it differently. To me, it's a man (presumably), who's musing on his lover or ex-lover-I'm not sure that matters. She's died, it's too late for them to reconcile, and he's besaicaly espousing his love and admiration for her. For now though, she'll have to cross the river "on her own", and make that journey to the afterlife without him. And he might never get there, because "who cares if I go?". I definitely agree, this song is beyond sad, but so beautiful. This whole album is a masterpiece. | |
