One of my favorites from this album. This is obviously about how destructive depression and boredom can be when put together. It's debilitating to feel that numb and discontent. She tries everything to find some sort of high and nothing seems to work or comfort her. Evenutally she feels isolated too, because people leave her in the end. |

I know she struggled with an eating disorder, and this theme definitely drives the song. I think it's about learning to save yourself. No man can heal or save you from yourself. |

Seems like it's kind of about the transcendence of music. Your head can be in an absolute tangle, but music has a way of sorting it out and setting you free. You can either let art heal, or destroy you. Both are extremely satisfying. |

The first song of hers I really listened to and loved. It's pretty self explanatory. Being tired of small talk and artificial interactions with people. You want something, someone, who is intellectually and emotionally stimulating. Someone you can get close too and feel a connection, to talk about art and music and life and such. Love the bit about Estella from Great Expectations. |
