| @[Rosiegirl:17871] I couldn't agree more. Sometimes we just feel better getting it off our chest. This song did the same for me. | |

This is a guy who has been hurt big time. I know the feeling ,it's like being discarded like a cigarette butt. You have hurt feelings to the point you can't sleep, can't eat everything reminds you of them. Poor me mad at the world. Been there now a few times. Like Bob's lyrics in the end I realized the only person I had any control over was myself and I always remember the line from that prison movie you have to get busy livin' or get busy dyin'. What tore me up the most was that I was suffering and not only did she not know but didnt care one bit. I come to realize that certain people just love at different levels in my case it was for her deep in her case it was more of an I'm amused for now type of thing. How a person can be with someone for years and just walk away and into something new without batting an eye is beyond me. But, apparently it happens a lot. I found the following sonnet from Shakespeare that is pretty much saying the same thing but just a bit more cryptic This song and the whole album helped me get through that horrible period of my life . I will always treasure this album I also like his play on words with Blood on the Tracks. When I first heard it I really thought it was literal. Until I listened to every song but 2 it's more pain of loss blood . Clever Check out Shakespeare below, they are both incredibly worded . A woman's face with Nature's own hand painted Hast thou, the master-mistress of my passion; A woman's gentle heart, but not acquainted With shifting change, as is false women's fashion; An eye more bright than theirs, less false in rolling, Gilding the object whereupon it gazeth; A man in hue, all 'hues' in his controlling, Much steals men's eyes and women's souls amazeth. And for a woman wert thou first created; Till Nature, as she wrought thee, fell a-doting, And by addition me of thee defeated, By adding one thing to my purpose nothing. But since she prick'd thee out for women's pleasure, Mine be thy love and thy love's use their treasure. Shake-Speare. |

| The Rolling Stones – Ventilator Blues Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| To me this song has a couple meanings, First I am sure that it may have been inspired by how hot it was and one fan but actually the song is brilliant. To me it is saying that everybody has a vice or habit that they have to use as their ventilator, maybe it's drugs, drink,Pepsi, candy, aspirin, coffee, God,It can be anything. Video game, instrument a person's acceptance, whatever. It is all mind over matter but the one thing we all need is air or we are dead. Cool play on words. Mick has always been such an under rated lyricist I think. | |
| Rush – Freewill Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| Rush's lyrics must have inspired Tool's writings. They are the only band I can think of that touch's on deep concepts like what he is talking about here. love both bands. Most songs dwell on the physical Dick in hole ,hole leaves with his best friends he is sad and will climb mountains. Only what he don't know is she will view him as weak and pathetic. She really wants to be treated like crap. because it is what Jezebels need. The thrill of the chase. haha | |

| @[RLeann333:5616] Hermetical the beliefs of the Ancient Egyptians. Why do you think they ruled mostly in peace for 3,000 years. These lyrics are very prolific and simply just go right over peoples heads. The world is what you make it. The universe is bi-ninel by your thoughts you make it + or - the law of attraction. | |

| @[digitalman:5615] That was really dumb. Okay first you stole that line from Bruce Campbell in Army of darkness, and 2nd the Constitution don't try to lead anything. it lays down one's rights of citizenry of the USA. Sounds like you are tasting the sour grapes of jealousy. If you don't have anything intelligent to say best to just stay quiet.. | |

| @[pdoylemi:5614] The Kybalion: Hermetic Philosophy is a 1908 book claiming to be the essence of the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus, published anonymously by a group or person under the pseudonym of "the Three Initiates". The Kybalion was first published in 1908 by the Yogi Publication Society and is now in the public domain, and can be found on the internet. The book purports to be based upon ancient Hermeticism, though many of its ideas are relatively modern concepts arising from the New Thought movement. The book early on makes the claim that it makes its appearance in one's life when the time is appropriate and includes variations of material found in the book of Proverbs. The book devotes a chapter to each of its seven "Principles", or axioms: The Principle of Mentalism, The Principle of Correspondence, The Principle of Vibration, The Principle of Polarity, The Principle of Rhythm, The Principle of Cause and Effect, and The Principle of Gender. | |
