@[Alexander3417:5619] you're a bit of a dumb guy. First of all, I don't think you know who David Bowie is because he's very similar to arcade fire. Space oddity isn't so different from something you'd find on funeral. @[SublimeWaffles:5610] I think you are missing a crucial part of the story, the fact that goldaline is the love interest(as mentioned in oh comely) and I believe the narrator is one of a pair of Siamese twins. I could be totally wrong on this but I don't think you can just forget about this because the song two headed boy states pretty clearly that one of the twins dies |

I have realized not that my thoughts on this album are quite different than many other people's. I think the narrator is one in a pair of Siamese Twins and as children they 'discovered what each other's bodies were for' which left them with an empty while inside of themselves. As they grew older, they longed to find a woman to love and in this song, they find goldaljne(the love interest of both of them) which creates a love triangle of sorts. The other twin(not the narrator) is the more loved of the two so I think the song is actually the narrator singing about what he wishes was happening, while in truth it's happening for his brother. |
