XTC – Roads Girdle The Globe Lyrics 6 years ago
Love the tight looseness of this song. Brutal, swaggering, football chant kinda thang...not to mention the over-arching ridiculousness of car worship that pervades our society. Too much XTC is barely enough

XTC – Millions Lyrics 6 years ago
I’ve always thought these guys were way ahead of the rest of their peers musically and lyrically, and this is one of my all-time favourite songs. Insightful, scathing, even a little cynical...but awesome all the same. 10/10.

XTC – Complicated Game Lyrics 6 years ago
You could read all sorts of things into this song, but I just love the visceral, menacing quality from the hushed, whispering beginning to its manic, growling finish. Classic XTC, I’ve loved them since I first heard them in 1979.

I love this band and this song...
When Gord refers to “the Barrens”, is this related to The Barrens from Stephen King’s novel “It”?

Radiohead – Decks Dark Lyrics 7 years ago
I was recently diagnosed with epilepsy, and this wonderful song just encapsulates my experience with having seizures...
It is the single most terrifying thing I’ve ever experienced and it leaves me feeling absolutely helpless. Rag doll cloth people...
Poetry that penetrates, Mr Yorke and company, that’s why I like this band so much

The Cure – The Lovecats Lyrics 9 years ago
I have no trouble believing that the band, or at least Robert himself, were using LSD at any given point in time. It makes perfect sense, and besides, his association with other bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees lends a lot of weight to the idea.
