This is my favorite track off the album, I just Adam's pensive delivery of the lyrics, and I often find that little snip-it at the end being stuck in my head: "what would you do?" I'm not quite sure what this song means honestly, but I can assume that it's about an unhealthy relationship between two people. The narrator seems to be broken inside and attains validation through this second person that is referenced throughout the song. Again, not sure what the true meaning of this song is, if there is one. But what I am sure of is that putting this song on will feel like a warm hug if you're feeling glum. |

| Distress Signal is all about a coming of age experience. The whole song is laced with the angst of growing up, being ill prepared for adulthood, and the responsibilities that come with it. It's hard not to get caught up in the crazy transition into adulthood, and sometimes we are not aware of how much we can inadvertently hurt the ones we love most. | |
