Amy Winehouse – October Song Lyrics 10 years ago
@[madame:5219] it's not a "ripoff," how dare you? If you listened to any of Winehouse's stuff you'd know she has a lot of originality and talent to make her own songs which is in fact what she did for ALL of them. The chorus was that way on purpose, notice she mentions Sarah Vaughan who was a jazz artist, she sang "lullaby of bidland" too and her manager after her divorce with her husband rebirth as an artist in the 70s became her lover. This suggests that the song is about depression caused by a relationship that's over. Amy must have managed to get over her sadness and get back on her feet but not without losing a part of herself: "Ava was the morning now she's gone, she's reborn like Sarah Vaughan."
