This reminds me a lot (especially after watching the music video) of JD Salinger's message in The Catcher In The Rye. The song emphasized the emotions that take place when a child's innocence is revoked due to the coming of age. In the song, it resembles the narration of Holden Caulfield, as the songs "narrator" is acting to display the phases of life, and tries to act as a savior to the growing youth to spare them from the competitive world of adulthood that haunts them in their future. |
