"I don't know why I just feel I'm better off Staying in the same room I was born in I look outside And see a whole world better off Without me in it trying to transform it" This part looks like he is saying even farther than just the room he was born, almost as if it would be better being still inside his mom, never being alive cause the world would be better without his participation and effort "You are out of my mind, ooh You aren't seeing my side, ooh You waste all this time trying to get to me But you are out of my mind" He is saying to someone, I view as God, that he's a lost cause, God don't see his side and is a waste of His time to believe in him, believe that he could make a change in the world. "Listen, I know This one's a contradiction because of how happy it sounds But the lyrics are so down It's okay though Because it represents, wait, better yet it is Who I feel I am right now" Pretty straight forward, is one of the most happy songs of the album but with a dark side, it personificates the contraditions inside his heart. "Heard you say Not today Tore the curtains down Windows open, now make a sound Heard your voice There's no choice Tore the curtains down Windows open, now make a noise" God is still trying to make him wake up and go live the life, do what he is supposed to do, 'there is no choice besides making a noise'. "Oh, don't you test me, no Just because I play the piano Doesn't mean not I'm not willing to take you down I'm sorry" This part is a bit unclear to me, he starts to regret the feeling that he has on the 1st verse but the piano part I don't really get it, it should be something about the power of his music, what he can get with it. "I'm, I'm out of my mind, ooh I'm, I'm not seeing things right, ooh I waste all this time trying to run from you But I'm, I'm out of my mind" He starts to see things clearly now, he sees that he is out of his mind because of all the time that he spent running away from God and what his mission should be. He spent too much time not living and by doing so, he is wasting the life. I relate a lot with this view so this is right for me, just as Tyler says on message man, make the lyrics what makes sense to you. Hope this is somebody view also, if so, keep on living, get out of the room and start to make the difference |
