Manic Street Preachers – Archives of Pain Lyrics 8 years ago
It's about the sick way in which human beings are utterly fascinated by mass murderers (I myself am one of these people). The line about "forget martyrs, remember victims" is referring to that the bereaved, as a result of murderers, are forgotten because of our fixation upon the actual murderers themselves. Richey attacks the curious nature that leads us to want to discover the motives and true horror of the murderer's crimes and not make the bereaved feel better or find Keith Bennett's body. Likewise, "I give them the respect they deserve" means we should all ignore the murderers and let them rot and suffer with no attention. Beverley Allitt allegedly suffered from Munchhausen's syndrome and it was imperative for her to kill to get attention. Richey thinks that we shouldn't give them them the satisfaction that they desire, Hindley and Brady's ultimate motive was the power that they knew they would be able to exert if they killed children. They therefore got attention and revelled in that power until their dying day. Richey's viewpoint is that humans should not let this happen.

Manic Street Preachers – You Stole The Sun From My Heart Lyrics 8 years ago
The song is about the difficulty Nicky has with touring, he is basically saying he likes being at home but he loves it all the same. He's saying touring's like a drug "broken through my armour" and that once you've done it you love it but you hate it at the same time. My Little Empire is similar, Nicky's struggle with not being at home and the depression that brings him. The title of the album is apt, "this is my truth" is correct as the lyrics are more about Nicky's struggles post-Richey. You Stole the Sun, My Little Empire, I'm Not Working are about Nicky's problems and You're tender and you're tired as well as Nobody loved you are directly about Richey. Having said that about 2 albums worth of material is about Richey. Some Kind of Nothingness, Your Love Alone, AS holy as the soil that buries your skin, Walk me to the Bridge etc

I don't think it's anti religion more Richey being confused by religion and the messiness of the lyrics prove this

Manic Street Preachers – Your Love Alone Is Not Enough Lyrics 10 years ago
It's mainly a suicide note. But is partly about Richey. The line "could have written all your lines" is directly about Richey unlike in songs like You're Tender and You're tired which is more passively about Richey.
