What really has me thinking Is the abuser asking for help or is he daring her to do something about the situation? Overall, I know the song is about abuse from POV of the victim and she's aware that she's not the only one but the opening lyrics really get me. |

| In my opinion, I think the song is about feeling powerless in a situation and not knowing what to do but ultimately resorting to something you wish you never had to and know you're going to regret, i.e like you see in the video, as the mother murdered her husband for abusing their daughter and the lyrics. | |
