This song is about Pete Wentz's relationship with My Chemical Romance's bassist, Mikey Way (Gerard's younger brother), during the summer of 2005's Warp Tour (the summer of like). The two had an alleged relationship which ended soon. People speculate that Bang the Doldrums was also written about "Petekey."
