@[ShadowsRainDown:4150] This song can't be talking to God because so many things make no sense by that interpretation. I wish I knew what interpretation would makes sense, but just consider what these lines mean if "you" is God: "What did they aim for when they missed your heart?" "In the blink of an eye, I can see through your eyes." What can it mean that this person is seeing through God's eyes, and who is missing God's heart? Is someone shooting at God, or is this metaphorical shooting? There are also things that this interpretation simply fails to explain. Strangest of all is "I breathe underwater." I really don't want to take that literally because it is too bizarre, but what sort of metaphor could it be? If this song means anything then the meaning should explain every line. |
