@[GenerationX:3946] This is one of my favourite ELO songs. I agree, I think your interpretation of the song is spot on. I always suspected a pretty thinly veiled reference to suicide too, that's probably a bit too obvious though. I love how it was written in 1978 and the opening lyrics are; "Remember the good old 1980's, When things were so uncomplicated, I wish I could go back there again And everything could be the same." It's such inspired song writing and it gives me a little chill at the same time |
