Always nice to see a honest song about being settled. Especially considering the amount of restless songs on the album Howdy - the narrator trying to seek a new future/new love. This one appears earnest enough, and a beautiful chorus/middle 8 to boot. |

Completely agree: a Byrds song through and through. The vocals, the guitars, and even that drum roll on the snare in the verse.
A song of optimism in the world around us. |

One of the first songs that got me into this band. Love the beginning focus on the guitars. Definitely opened the way for a lot of love for Neil Young a couple of years later. A belter of a closer on an otherwise lacklustre album. |

A good pop tune. Familiar territory for the band - attempting to explain their feelings for a loved one. Generally they discuss their failure to explain themselves properly, but in doing so they bring all these lovely images across. |

"I still disturb the air when i want to"
A great line. Yeah, things can get bad sometimes, and a lot of the times we can be powerless. But perhaps this one act - disturbing air - provides enough comfort. |

A fantastic song from the band.
My take on it is that the narrator is full of self-doubt about their life and current relationship. They want a fresh start and want renewal of confidence and direction. |

Strong opening on the album: good to hear both Albarn's and Coxon's vocals. But sadly the album fails to sustain this quality throughout. |

Really love the sound of Coxon's guitar on this - the kind of sound that was distinctly missing from Think Tank. |

Sounds very much like a track from Albarn's recent solo album. It is nice to see the Albarn-Coxon relationship addressed: far too often the band avoid exploring their own emotions. |

| Grandaddy – At My Post Lyrics

This song repeats a similar chord structure from an earlier Grandaddy B-Side, Shedeleter. At My Post continues the theme of isolation and loneliness found throughout this EP, summing up Lytle's feelings about Modesto. |
