| @[Fredzep:3806] That's inaccurate. There was even an Aerosmith documentary that showed this, and the Perry project never did this song. You're thinking of "Let the Music Do The Talking". | |
| Matchbox Twenty – Angry Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| @[davidecoyote:3744] I always say the same thing- "But he IS angry..." | |

| @[TheZom2015:3743] Which explains, btw why Perry isn't in the video. | |

| That's almost accurate. It's not Joe Perry. It's Brad Whitford, as Joe and Brad were not in the band when this song was recorded. Jimmy Crespo replaced Perry, and Rick Dufay replaced Whitford, but Brad "Guested" on this track to do that rhythm. | |
| Train – Drops of Jupiter Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
Lyrics are a little off- FOR a shooting star, not FROM. I see this as someone who left a relationship and then came back into it changed. She's distracted and the person doing the narrative feels like he may not be good enough now. |

| Matchbox Twenty – Hang Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| Seems like the guy doesn't know how to fix what's wrong and she can't take it anymore. He's going to remember what kept them together in the first place and he's just going to wait for a while. Just hang. | |

| Switchfoot – I Dare You to Move Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| How do you get anything to do with religion out of this? To each his own I suppose. So I would say it's definitely NOT about Christ. It's about that moment when you're broken, and you just have to finally DO something. Anything. Get up and walk. Go to the store. Get your life back. | |
| Coldplay – Clocks Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| I never think so much about the meaning of this song- when my ex-wife and I were separated, we tried and tried to work things out. The day we laid on her bed and she told me she was done trying, this song was playing somewhere in the house. It was the soundtrack to the end of my marriage. Happy thoughts, right? LOL | |

| He's looking for answers from her, and all she wants is to keep hurting him. | |
| Finger Eleven – One Thing Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
Once upon a time.... I had a girl and everything was amazing. She was perfect and so amazingly sweet. We got engaged quickly and moved in together. After being together about nine months, she started to change ad started treating me badly, and eventually started cheating on me. I walked away from her, and tried not to look back, but she begged me to take her back and told me I was the one thing she couldn't live without. So I took her back. Everything was great. ...Until about another nine months later... She started treating me badly again, and started cheating again. So I left, and i never looked back. So this is what the song means to me: Restless tonight Cause I wasted the light Between both these times I drew a really thin line It's nothing I planned And not that I can But you should be mine Across that line *I couldn't sleep at night trying to figure out how this happened to us. I true a really thin line between the first time we were together and the second time. I didn't plan for things to go as they did, but they went that way anyways, and I thought she should cross the line back to perfect and be mine again. To be like we used to be. If I traded it all If I gave it all away for one thing Just for one thing If I sorted it out If I knew all about this one thing Wouldn't that be something I see this as me giving up my pride, my anger, my self respect even. If I could learn to do this, I'd forgive and forget and we'd be great. I promise I might Not walk on by Maybe next time But not this time This was saying this was her last chance. I wouldn't pass her by this time, but if it happened again, I would. (And I did!) Even though I know I don't want to know Yeah I guess I know I just hate how it sounds I knew what she did. I knew she would do it again. I just couldn't say it out loud or even admit that I knew. Those rare times when it almost popped out into consciousness, it killed me. So yeah, that's my two (or three) cents! |

| Collective Soul – How Do You Love Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| I see this song as the narrator looking back at a girl he was in love with and gave everything to, but she never saw it or wanted to see it. She had everything, but she just wouldn't take it. | |
| Faith Hill – Cry (Angie Aparo cover) Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| Great song, begging for just even a little emotion to justify the pain she was feeling. | |
| Buckcherry – Lovely Bones Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
This song was inspired, but not about the book "The Lovely Bones". Josh was going through a lot of loss at that point, and he had the song, sans lyrics in his head. He read the book and it inspired him. The song is about someone who has taken their own life. The lyrics above have a mistake- it's not "Forgot to swallow", it's "About to swallow" which changes the context greatly. He's a spirit seeing all he's missing since he died. |

| Deep Blue Something – Breakfast At Tiffany's Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
I was with a girl for a couple years, and things went south. When I found she was seeing someone else, I just tried to walk away. It was at that point she tried to justify her actions and not wanting "us" anymore. She said, "We have nothing in common. We don't like the same movies, or the same music or even the same foods." I told her, "No, you don't like MY music. I like yours. You don't like MY movies. I like yours. You don't like the foods I like. I like everything you like." So I see that a lot in this song. She never brought up the things we did have in common. Or maybe she only pretended to like those things... |

| Linkin Park – Shadow Of The Day Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| I really feel this song is just someone's decision to take their own life. They've made up their mind and it's what they really feel they need to do. | |
| Matchbox Twenty – Parade Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| I see this one from a standpoint of being in a failing relationship. You sit and wait for it to get better, and you're afraid to leave, because what happens if things suddenly change and get better? You keep wanting to wait, even though you know it's really over. | |
| Foo Fighters – Walk Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| I think that this song is really about recovering from a relationship that's been lost. Having it be over, and have the feelings of pain fade, and then after waiting long enough, finally getting back up and walking again, moving forward. | |
