This song is just awesome. Its making you wanna smile on hard days. How I see this song is, we encounter problems all the time and sometimes it's easier to jut runaway with someone that you love and leave everything behind, and whats left is just the both of you and nothing else matters. But it also says that you can understand if the person you love can't be with you through this because you know there's a better tomorrow. |

From the title itself "is this the best it gets", I think it's about asking if the current situation they are in is enough or is it time to let go and give up. There might be a lot challenges and trials that they are facing and maybe there is no improvement at all no matter how much they exert an effort. |
