| I think this one links with "Flies" in that they're describing an unhealthy relationship with a manipulative psychopath, from two points of view. | |

If you consider the lyrics on Eyes of Thousand it sounds like this one might be about a toxic relationship with a manipulator. The switch from "You fucking liar" to "Poison me my darling" refers to how the victim often starts seeing through the lies and the manipulation, yet are so broken down and attached in an unhealthy way that they end up staying and accepting the treatment. The previous track on this album "I'm charming" seems to be from the perspective of the perpetrator. |

For anyone who has ever been in a relationship with a covert narcissist it ought to be quite clear what this song is about. It's not about a spider, he is using that as a metaphor for malicious, manipulative women. The type of woman to lure you in by mirroring your personality, wearing nice perfumes, always dressing up and wearing the mask of your soulmate; Until you're trapped in her web, manipulated to the very core, broken down and a "mere shell of a man". "Enchanting the flower of disease, beware her silken surprise" They've mastered the art of being charming, they spend hours on looking good and picking the right outfit, but ultimately their only goal is to "Suck you dry" and move on to the next victim to "Quench their ravenous thirst" for money, favours and attention. |

My view is that the "You" is herself, she is saying to herself that she hates herself for being selfish and so on. Then it changes view to her "bad self". Like everyone else she has two sides. Uniquelyam had a really probable theory though. |
