The Chariot – They Faced Each Other Lyrics 10 years ago
i agree with goody2sandals. the world we live in now is what they are talking about. we live greedy, selfish lives in which the only thing that matters for most are the material things that many men think compose they worth in this world. We have lost sight of the fact that we cannot take these material things with us when we leave this earth. We as humans need to take selfishness and turn it into selflessness. I think the beatitudes sum it up pretty well and are the message they are trying to convey in these lyrics...

"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blsed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,
for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

I think they are talking about sin and the world we live in present day. When they say,
"Embrace reaction
We ain't God
But here he comes" I think they are talking about the free will God gave all man in our creation. The will to make wrong and right decision (to live by God's word or to be a sinner). We as humans are not perfect and God made us that way.

Destiny is real and she comes with a smile
Passing by your grave
Reach the plague
Black plague

I believe this references the reality of temptation put in front of every man each day in our lives. Temptation comes with a smile. The devil conceals sin in the most pleasant looking ways and the world we live in now is seeing more sin and moral decay than any we have seen before....it is a "plague"

Then the rest of the song goes on to talk about how heaven will open its gates for the believers and those who kept the faith. For those who truly call the Lord their God, they shall not fear death nor will they feel the pain of mortality when judegment comes. The last 4 lines i believe, again, go back to how our generation is seeing horrible moral decay and obvious play out of things desribed in revelation...which means the day of judgement is near...but true believers welcome this day.

@[enterusernamehere:3503] ehhhhh pretty sure using God's name in the context you just used it in is completely what they are against. It is a pretty rad scream though
