personally I believe that this song Is simply about falling in love with someone but you know its not working. elaboration: 'when i looked in your eyes and i saw my own face how it seemed out of place like mans foot steps in space - the writer is talking about how they don't feel right/complete with this significant other but were already there - but the writer feels the relationship has already come so far and they are too deep inlove. then i felt your breath see my life in your eyes and a fate worse than death - the writer is talking about what the future holds and they know that one day its going to come to an end and that its not going to be good for their emotional being. as i drew my next breath did you think i'd survive - the writer talks about how the significant other is completely unaware of the affects this can cause to them in the future if they keep going im not going to fake this everytime the writer is talking about how they cant keep pretending that they are happy, although 'I make peace with your monsters and their lies, because theyre mine' saying 'you are mine, and I love you, so im going to accept all the bad stuff and keep doing what were doing'. |
