The song is about losing yourself to the joys of night life. Most people resist the temptation to live only to party, but the singer loses his/her self control because the "you" in the song breaks through the "wall" of regular behavior. It is a hedonistic escape from mundane daily life, a self imposed blind belief that the night will never end, a lie that is reiterated day after day. Tragic and beautiful, laced with a catchy pop beat. One of my favorite songs :) |

| Although originally an English song by Mitch Leigh, composed for the 1965 Broadway musical Man of La Mancha, to me it is about the quest for true love. A love so perfect it might not even exist, but my heart demands that I keep searching for it anyway. Through pain and broken relationships, always moving on to chase that impossible star. It's the curse of being a romantic dreamer I suppose. And like Don Quixote, possibly quite mad ;) | |
