@[YTG:30695] I agree completely. He's reflecting on his past actions with relationships being promiscuous or maybe he did it the right way and broke up first, just to move on. Probably not. And that's just an honest look at this person's life which is very real to talk about. |

This is the saddest song. It's about two lovers who couldn't reconcile their differences regarding investment and commitment - they both loved each other, but the girl wouldn't show it for some reason. Over time it killed our poor guy and he finally chose to leave her, upon reflection of this decision he gathers that no one cared if he left her, if she didn't. He plays this relationship out in his head still "my thoughts are wrought with a shortsighted secret/"-"and missing you". Apparently this love was so strong that it stays with him forever. She was an underhanded jerk to him for what and I wonder if it's true that she feels stuck in the past too. |
