This song is about being gay. A "cymbal rush" is London homosexual slang for a 'hand shandy' (which is Manchester slang for a 'hand job'). The reference to re-numbered rooms is an obvious nod to prominent 1960s gay activist Arthur Swallows. I'm not sure what the 'boiling over' refers to but I imagine it is quite disgusting. |

This song is about being gay.The first verse is about coming out, the second is about getting rimmed in a kids playground. The chorus is just bullshit. The last section are the clearest lyrics "And I've seen your loving" - looking at a lover's erection, "But mine is gone" - inside his lover's anus, "And I've been in trouble" - a reference to when homosexuality was illegal. |
