'Shadows settle on the places that you left, our minds are troubled by the emptiness.'' This song is about God and her spiritual experiences without him and how its effected her greatly. The shadows are what demons create -darkness is what is left without God in her life she's left feeling like she has no real purpose.(Hence feeling empty) "Destroy the middle its a waste of time" shes expressing what matters most is the day your born and the day you die -where we go in the after life heaven or hell. She continues to express that if you're still alive and if you're not completely numb to your emotions you're blessed ." You caused it is her desperate attempt at trying to blame others for her bad decisions in life as she repeats this 3 times. "Setting fire to our insides for fun" sinning taking drugs whatever it take to numb the pain for our rebellion towards God. She then speaks about her bitterness towards relationships in her life that ended. "We are the reckless we are the wild youth". Reckless means thoughtless not taking into consideration about the consequences of our actions or the future. She continues to explain shes dead inside without the love of her creator and is nothing more then a flesh suit with demons inside and constantly overwhelmed by emotions. This song is very spiritual and I know many people wont understand this but I felt Id share.Take care |
