Sick Puppies – I Hate You Lyrics 10 years ago
I know I may be in the minority here, but I believe this song has to do with drug addiction.

"Every time I end up breaking you, you change into something worth keeping" In other words, when he is NOT getting high, he knows the drugs are not worth it, but every time he does them, they become worth it for the moment.

"Every time I'm close to saving you, you grow into a sin worth believing" Every time he is able to get drugs, he achieves a sense of relief in that he will be able to believe in the drugs to do their job.

"You're everything I ever wanted, but it's never enough, you're never enough" After building a tolerance to the drugs, you start to never be able to have enough, and also, whatever problems you're having originally, only temporarily subside but will always be back.

"I'll take whatever I can take, whenever I can take it if it ever comes" Obviously, once someone's addiction become severe enough, they won't discriminate against the types of drugs they'll take whenever they can get their hands on it.

"I never knew until I got a taste, what a waste for what I've been through" Here he realizes that the drugs are not an ideal thing to do and is a waste of time and money since it only numbs pain but never heals anything.

"Cause nothing ever really makes that change, I'm so ashamed of what I did to you" Because drugs do not cure any problems, they only numb things, and he is admitting that doing the drugs was a mistake.

"I had to let you in to feel that rush, you were too much, way too much" He had to do the drugs to feel happy, but realized the effects were too much in that they causes problems in their own right without fixing the original ones.

Now the Chorus:

"I hate you when you're gone" He hates it when he runs out of the drugs

"I hate you turn me on" He hates the fact that the drugs make him feel temporarily happy thereby causing the addiction

"I hate the way I need you when I don't know where you are" He hates having to have a 'fix' but not being able to have them readily available.

"I love it even more when I find you on the floor" Perhaps the overdosing has made him nauseous and he has vomited on the floor quite a few times?

"I know you think you hate me, but I will always hate you more!" Here is the crux of the whole song. The drugs hate him because they cause so much health issues, but he hates being addicted to the drugs because he knows they are bad for him, yet he can't give them up because he is addicted but is regretting becoming addicted in the first place.

Again, maybe it's not true, but ever since I heard the song the very first time, this interpretation has always made sense to me...
