| Best guess is this about moving on with some subtle references to the closing of the Hacienda in the late 90s. The first verse certainly has an acid house era club vibe to it. Given Doves' first incarnation as Sub Sub was part of that Madchester scene and they were in the process of reinventing themselves, this could be a "so long" to that era and that part of their lives. | |
