I am not dissing anyone for this comment and if it feels like I am please tell me but I am bi and actually was offended by this song. If you are queer/lgbtq and were not offended by this song GOOD JOB! I am very proud of you but I just struggled to see how this song was considered "internet slang" and how it was supposed to be lighthearted. I also find it offending that Katy was using gay as an insult. She might have not meant gay as in homosexual/romantic, but I still find it mildly offensive. |

@[HotTampa:7278] Yes I agree with the first part but for a totally unrelated reason. She is using the "clichés" as part of her lyrics to help tell a story what I don't think is original about this song is that she theoretically "stole it" from Sara Bareilles's brave the two songs have the same backbeat, chord progressions and the same overall message of self empowerment. |
