Talking Heads – Heaven Lyrics 9 years ago
According to David Byrne, Heaven is a gay bar (in New York?). I always saw this song as a kind of anti-homophobia song: saying to people who think being gay is sordid and wrong that actually, nothing much happens at Heaven, it's just like any other bar.

Moonface – Love the House You're In Lyrics 10 years ago
I think this song addresses the "thigh gap" culture that suggests that people who aren't Beyoncé are less worthy. I love the image of ones body being the "house you're in", which brings to mind the Biblical notion of our bodies being temples. However, in virtually the same breath, by introducing the listener to the "well-intentioned demon", we understand that the symbolism is not aligned with the Bible, and is rather undermining that train of thought by suggesting that the best part of us is that demon with good intentions.

Moonface – Julia with Blue Jeans On Lyrics 10 years ago
I think the image of him "spending a lot of time in [his] expensive furs" while being struck by a thought may be a reference to the destructive nature of the music industry, which detracts from the soul of the music in order to create a famous person who spends a lot of time in expensive furs, not pursuing their art.
Reminded me a bit of the movie Frank, which you should see if you haven't yet.

Radiohead – Separator Lyrics 10 years ago
@[crablad:3336] I love this interpretation. Radiohead are forever pushing boundaries musically, and this interpretation shows them pushing boundaries lyrically. Thank you for sharing.
