This song takes place in the universe of the book series The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss. The main character Kvothe is a member of a traveling perfoming group called the edema ruh. They pride themselves as accomplished actors, story tellers, musicians, and singers. People look down on them, assuming they are all theives and generally criminals (they aren't), yet the songs they sing and tales they tell are repeated throughout the world. The song doesn't talk about specifics of the books, instead it's a prideful ballad simply about them setting the stage for a play at night. |
