This is my first post. I have discovered Punch Brothers. What a great sound - and "I Blew It Off" is superb! Excellent composition - a pop-like feel, very '60's sound, Beatle-esque harmonies. And a commentary for our times. I can't get it outta my head (guess that's why it was a single.) It's about world-weariness and in our ocean of information and the paradoxical loss of identity in our culture saturated with high-tech and low touch. A heck of a lot to say so in so catchy a way in just over 3 minutes. |
