This is about Adam's love for strawberries. As they do many, strawberries seem to take Adam away to a dreamscape, as he explains in this song. "When I felt the stars explode around me"- the feeling as he first bites into the strawberry. "A grass blade flashed with a gleam as it slashed open a moonbeam"- Saying about the growth of strawberries, and how such a normal plant can give such an amazing fruit as a strawberry. "Staying awake that night was rather hard"- it was hard for him to go to sleep after the recent memory of the delicious taste of strawberry and the thought of maybe eating it again. "When we woke up buried alive beneath this fruity landslide we both laughed hysterically"- When they finally got to eat a strawberry again it was like waking up, from the ignorance of a life where he has not tasted strawberries. It felt like being 'Buried alive' in happiness. "It could've been just another dream"- in the midst of eating strawberries, the taste is so good that it feels like it could not be possibly real. "Always a citrus constellation in the galaxy scratched on the back of both my eyelids that I've been dying to see."- After eating strawberries, the taste eventually goes away but the memory stays and so here Adam is explaining how he longs to eat the wonderful strawberries again. "If you were a beautiful sound in the echoes all around, then I'd be your harmony"- Adam explaining his love for strawberries. He'd do anything for a strawberry. |
