| Halestorm – Familiar Taste of Poison Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| I think the song is about a women who was poisoned by her husband. I think the song and video could be from her point of view after she was killed, looking back on her life with him realising that he never really loved her, it was all lies. In the first verse when it says "But the roses were only to drain my inspiration, the promises were spoiled before they left your lips" could suggest that everything he ever said to her didn't mean anything, and that the last few years of her life were wasted entirely on a false relationship. Some people think it's about drug use or alcohol, but I think it could be about all of them? | |
