| Sleeping with Sirens – Satellites Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| The Frame, is a way of saying how someone views us, almost like a picture. The friction, refers to how we want to change in order to change how others see us, and how that can be challenging. However the main point of the line is that really you should just be yourself, don’t conform or let others paint you into something you arent. so to speak, stop worrying about what they think. "Some say it's better to fall asleep and disappear". When life gets worse, we find an escape. Falling asleep and wanting to disappear are some. We want to get rid of everything by getting rid of ourselves. "It's time we finally look at what we've done and wake up". It really is time for people to stop worrying so much about what others think and how society views them, perhaps a wake up call is exactly what society needs in order for this to happen, but what will it actually take? Peer pressure and bullying are everyday occurrences so what will it take for people to stop judging and start accepting people? The next part goes on to say that on the radio people call on others to help solve their own problems like they’re supposed to save us. Next it goes on to talk about freedom and how it's our reason to be alive and we shouldn't waste it. What do we have left in the end to justify our existence? I don't get it either, we waste our lives instead of just enjoying them. Why should we change? Theres no reason? Maybe we should just lay down and fade out of existence? No, we need to wake up and solve our own problems. No ones gonna save us, no one except ourselves. Get out and enjoy life, be yourself and paint your own picture. Enjoy life to the fullest without worry what other people think. That's the main point behind the song I believe. | |
