Porcelain Black – Naughty Naughty Lyrics 10 years ago
"Naughty, naughty, naughty
We like to party
I know you hate it 'cause
I flirt with everybody"
'You' might be in response to her current boyfriend or other girls that don't agree with the way she approaches other men.
This might also be implying other girls don't have the balls to be open and out there like she is. - She might find it amusing they'd rather fume at her all night than pick up their game and start flirting.

"Naughty, naughty, naughty
We just wanna party
It's all about fun and games
Until I hurt somebody"
She notes it's all innocent until she comes onto someone who might be taken, which would piss off his girlfriend, and in turn, start a fight.

"Definitely not an angel
But I'm not that evil, you know" She doesn't exactly label herself a hardcore sinner, only the sins that naturally are made are ones she partakes in. She knows she's far from being a nun or angel, but still considers herself above Evil.
Self-driven, but not unkind.
"I'm just so addicted
To beautiful people, uh oh" She idolizes beautiful people, possibly celebrities or people she wants to be associated with.

"I'm getting sucked into the night
I'm out ahead and losing control (Oh no)" If she were out party-going with a group of friends, she refuses to slow down just for their sake. She goes where she likes.
"Get me wrong and get me right
You know that I can never say no (Oh no)" She doesn't really have an issue if her friends disagree with what she does or how she goes about doing it, feeling it says more about them than it does to her.

"Uh oh uh oh uh oh
So whatcha gonna do about it
Uh oh uh oh uh oh
So whatcha gonna do about it" She imposes the golden question that sparks all sorts of reactions from people, depending on who.
She wants to know how far people are willing to go to prevent her from doing what she wants. Maybe is excited by brawls and drama, wants to be reckless.

"Definitely kissing a stranger" She might notice that she doesn't identify the person she's making out with, but it fails to make her uncomfortable with the situation she's found herself in.
"Then leave his ass later, you know" The situations she's in isn't an issue, as she knows her next objective is to leave to go elsewhere, even if he objects.
"Can't help that I'm attracted to danger
You can't be my savior, uh oh" Maybe explaining to her current lover that her behavior isn't something to be managed or cured.
She wants to live on edge, even if the person she's seeing doesn't share the same interest.

"Uh oh uh oh uh oh
I know I said that we'd stay home
Uh oh uh oh uh oh
Kiss and watch a boring show
Uh oh uh oh uh oh
Oh hell no, I gotta go"
She recalls herself making plans to be civil for a 'comfortable' night with her lover, but the more she sees the scene in her head unravel and its nothing she really craves, she gets completely turned off and bails from her plans.

Porcelain Black – Who's Next Lyrics 10 years ago
"I'm not a bad girl, you're just a prude" Strangers or those she's associated with might make the assumption she's obscene or vulgar, although she's more than that in reality, like most people are.
"you're a little bitch, and I'm straight-up rude" Taking notes on the vast differences between her and someone opposing her. She keeps things as they are and doesn't let complication interfere with her decisions.
"I keep it blunt while you beat around the bush,
you like to hug and baby boy I like to push." She's forceful and to the point, as this other person is softer and maybe a little ass-kisser.

"You don't have to like 'cause I don't like you" (Favorite lyric, ahhh!) This line is pretty self explanatory. She deems it fair for this stranger to dislike her on the grounds that she doesn't like them either. For her, it seems fitting that those she hates, hate her in return.
"You're too beige and I need black and blue
I want it black and blue!" Black and blue like nasty bruise, full of expression (Even if negative) and failing to blend into the social norms she's confronted with.
(Beige meaning she doesn't agree with this new life she's placed into, and it doesn't agree with her, either)

"I want a boy that tastes like whiskey and cigarettes,
so who's it gonna be, who's gonna be next?" She wants a partner that doesn't fit the norm just like her, one that bends rules as far as they can be pushed because that's how she rolls.
"He strokes my kitty cat just like it's his pet, row!" Not gonna lie, definitely a sexual innuendo. Kitty cat = pussy, AKA Vagina. Isn't afraid to get his hands dirty (;
"That's how I get the boys, I get 'em obsessed" She might be excessively flirtatious and suggestive, because it makes boys interested in her appeal.
For her, toying with the opposite sex comes naturally to her because it's just so easy.
"So who's next? Who's next? Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Who's next? Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh." Who's her next victim she gets to feed on until she's bored.

"On a whiskey diet, only happy when I'm starvin'" She's living off alcohol on an empty stomach, not necessarily implying an eating disorder is present, but idk anything's possible(?)
"Vicodin's are my vitamins, slutty when I'm lethargin'" Vicodin being a depressant clinically used to treat severe pain, is an opiate etc. She's addicted to Vicodin to a degree, and likes to be lethargic because it gets her maybe more male attention (Which she personally finds exciting)
"Black rainbows are our halos, bustin' faces with our elbows" PB still remaining to be a busted, yet badass chick off the streets of Detroit. She knows how to protect herself if need be, and remains the Queen of the streets.
"Trainwrecks got you comin', kid I know I got you barkin'" Possibly another sexual implication...Trainwrecks now being her petname for her fanbase (I'm a Trainwreck, woo) But I think at the time of her PATT days, Trainwreck was something she referred to herself as being. She was off the rails, and didn't conform like she was expected to.

"Word on the street is I'm out of control" Probably much like a rumor at school, she gets word of being labelled out of control or unstable, which she herself agrees to being.
"But that's 'cause I am, 'cause I'm totally rock and roll!" She loves the lifestyle she's adopted through Rock influence and the 'give no shits' life.
(Whiskey and cigarettes) - Echo from the chorus
Totally rock and roll, hey, hey
(Whiskey and cigarettes)
Totally rock and roll, hey, hey

Porcelain Black – Mama Forgive Me Lyrics 10 years ago
I love this song and I'm absolutely in love with PB herself.
Such a badass, hardcore individual not letting anything take its toll on her.
Respect <3

Anyway, my interpretation of this song is that the chorus basically means this person knows what they're doing seems to be all the bad choices, but they want to do them regardless. And since they know they'll be doing it, they're asking for forgiveness, rather than permission, as they know their Mama isn't going to approve of their daughters decision.

Hm, commenting on the part that says
"He's a bad, bad boy
I'm a bad, bad girl
And we're gettin' bad tonight" Means she's confessing she's not the pure, innocent person her Mother naturally believes her child to be.
She's matching her Boyfriend because they're most similar, despite he's more outwardly open of his 'dangerous' lifestyle.

"Naughty naughty naughty, teasin' my brain
Boy, I'm thinkin' out loud" Naughty naughty being another of Porcelain's singles, she toured and sang it as part of her act on the I am music AND the I am still music tours with Lil Wayne, n such.
"What the fuck I'm gonna do it again
'Cause there's no turning back now" She does what she can because it's all she thinks she can do. She got out of another contract with her producer, like she did before. (Only bringing that up now, bcus when she wrote this song her relationship between her and RedOne was a little more 'together'...)

Good song, I definitely enjoy it.

Gwen Stefani – Cool Lyrics 10 years ago
"It's hard to remember how it felt before
Now I found the love of my life" When you're in love, you wonder how you managed to deal before them, as they seem to carry some of the pressure with you, making it easier to live.
"Passes things, get more comfortable" You grow accustom and comfortable with this person by your side.
"Everything is going right" The future seems to look so easy with this person by your side, a sweet situation.

"And after all the obstacles
It's good to see you now with someone else" Although she knows it's best to be optimistic about his new choice of partner, her inner feelings conflict with what she knows is best.
"And it's such a miracle that you and me are still good friends" She's maybe somewhat surprised they managed to settle their differences and emotions to be alright experiencing each other in a very different, toned-down light.
"After all that we've been through
I know we're cool I know we're cool" She reflects back on their past together and wakes up in the now once more, claiming they have a decent relationship though it doesn't quite satisfy her the same way it used to.

"We used to think it was impossible
Now you call me by my new last name" When in love, you can't imagine life without your SO, thus it being classified as 'impossible' to be anyone elses at the time.
"Memories seem like so long ago
Time always kills the pain" She states that time kills the pain, which it does, but she can still feel the weight from what used to be pressing over her life.
It's still something she can recall, though it isn't full of negativity and hurt like it used to be.

"Remember Harbor Boulevard
The dreaming days where the mess was made" Recalling a setting they both should remember dearly. The 'dreaming days' meaning when you're young and carefree, doing things on a whim because you're free.
The 'mess' she mentions, is the two of them becoming intertwined with each other. A tangled fate.
"Look how all the kids have grown,
We have changed but we're still the same" Thinking about maybe local children in the area that were young children at the time, have now matured into teens or adults since Gwen and her lover have separated. She's shocked by their growth because it proves just how much time has past since they went their separate ways.
"After all that we've been through
I know we're cool I know we're cool" Reminding herself that things between him are respectable, though she does still feel, she pretends she doesn't for his personal benefit. Wanting him to grow with his new partner, because it makes him happy.

"And I'll be happy for you
If you can be happy for me" She's telling him that she'll stick it out and hide her inner feelings, if he'll do the same. They've both learnt from past experiences that although they're passionate towards each other, they've not a beneficial match.
"Circles and triangles" Maybe a comparison to the saying 'Apples and oranges', meaning she's a different person to his new mate, but that's how tastes in partners go. He's learnt to not be with women like Gwen, so there isn't any close similarities between her and the new girlfriend. She respects her for the difference she is.
"And now we're hanging out with your new girlfriend" Noting they've come so far since they've met, they're so close she's met his new girl.
"So far from where we've been
I know we're cool I know we're cool" She's flicking through her life with him and coming back to the present, accepting that this is the best choice for the two of them as developing individuals.

NO – The Long Haul Lyrics 10 years ago
"We'll be fine I'm sure" Reassuring an associate things will be okay, even if he himself isn't entirely certain of the future.
"Just use the other door" Could also mean 'just find another way'. Not all options are closed off, there's always an alternative.
"I wanna have a house like they did." Wanting somewhere to rest that is of quality. 'They' might be a wealthier or upper class folk, clean and polished.

"We wrestled till we cried" They've fought until they exhausted themselves emotionally.
"They fucked our state of mind" Could be interpreted as a stab at the authority.
"Don't celebrate me 'cause I'm jaded" I think this means something along the lines of 'Don't celebrate me because I'm not something to be celebrated.' Either that, or he doesn't believe he deserves to be cherished.

"Welcome to the storm" Being acknowledged as part of the thousands that suffer through day to day problems, these issues being nicknamed 'the storm'.
"We're babies till we're born" We're untouchable until we're outside of our Mothers inner protection, now outside and tangible. - A product to be molded by society.
"Then adults from our first day breathing" Means we're applied as one of money within the body that is society. We are brought into the majority, to obey the system and be controlled by roles and expectation handed to us from day one.

"Our innocence was staged" Possibly meaning the staging of innocence is because once we grow older and more responsibility is enforced on us, we look back and realize how much of our childhoods was lies or rose tinted.
"The jury all got paid" A comparison implying that in a case of law, the jury were paid to answer a certain way and to put someone in prison from a biased means.
sentenced for things the narrator didn't do.
"I'd lock it, but it's not worth stealing" To me, it means if you don't believe things inside are worth being stolen, you neglect their value.
For example, not guarding a loved one or yourself, because you simply don't value them/you, and harm resulting because your own carelessness.

"When the drunks start singing this way" I think this line is asking you to interpret how exactly the singer is singing and harmonizing. It sounds slow, almost tired, but it carries on. That's how the drunks sound, too.
"Baby's got her best dress stained" Let's say the 'best dress' in this sentence represents the best of what a girl has to offer. If it's tainted, it's regarded as good.
"I hope you got a minute
Hope you want me in it
For the long haul
All night long"
I take the last of the chorus as the singer commenting on how much time the person has left, wishing to be involved in the remaining time to be apart of the bigger picture.

"We'll be fine I'm told" Perhaps this line is from the other persons perspective. The one being told at the beginning of the song that they'd be fine.
"Together we'll grow old" Promised things this person is uncertain of, but is still idealizing.
"So kiss me till the last train leaving" 'Distract me from departing with the last train.'
"Then stand yourself by me" Remain loyal and focused on the goal they'd created together.
"We'll fall until we're free" Fall away from public or social standards that they can't apply themselves to fit into.
"This helium prefers no ceiling" 'Helium' meaning a high, and in this context, the high prefers no repression of it's effect. No ceiling = no boundary.

"It must get better than this" Imagining the absurdity of modern day oppression, how biased and unbelievable things truly are, but he's been blinded.
"Cause as far as I can see
The world belongs to me" Within their own minds, everything is theirs. When you're alone inside your own head, your interpretations are what you perceive them to be. - That's your own reality formed completely by yourself.
"There's a place at your table with my name on" Almost as if there's a reservation he's been expected to turn up to. He's noted this and maybe is confused as to why this would be so.

"When we walk
They roll the carpet out at our feet" Treated as something superior, that's how they begin to perceive themselves.
"And when we talk
They gather around and cheer in the street" Much like the paparazzi and the hype with celebrities, they begin to live in new found delusion and/or confidence.
"Cause we're the kings of imagining things" Lines before leading up to the true explanation of why they have the idea of being treated like royalty, they made it up together for a better world to live in.

I think the line 'I wanna have a house like they did' is a lot more important than it seems, but that's just how I feel about it.
