I could see this song being about a summer fling. They had a love that was insanely passionate (fireworks). The lyrics talk about missing the person and how they have "what if"s and such. "My 9 to 5 is cutting open old scars" the speaker is getting bored with the reality/every day life they face without the person. Yeah it just hit me as a song about a summer fling that had to end. |
