@[eleanorarroway:1971] oh, and the part about simplicity on the surface means that maybe their sexual acts might be seen as just lust, carnal but it's not: behind it lies powerful emotional and physical connection, so deep beautiful and overwhelming that's a code that only poetry could translate and secret because only them could see (it's private) and understand. |

s many noticed, it's a song about having sex. But it's a very special kind of sex: sex with a partner you love deeply. The first verses are about all the joy and pleasure she feels when she's having intercourse with the partner she loves. I don't think it's about bsdm, as some suggested, because this is not such a literal song. The secret code, the morse code that pulsates and wake her up... it's the orgasms, so powerful that make she feels more alive than ever. It's very interesting because this part really translates the idea of a very deep emotional and sexual connection with the one she loves. About the handshake and its pattern and the final verses where she says she's gonna keep her to herself i think it means he's not so involved as her, he gives her signals that she doesn't understand, she doesn't know if he feels so extremely passionate about her and about the sex they do as she does, so she's really vulnerable and wants to protect herself but the joy, the passion, the pleasure and the love she feels about him are so strong that all she wants to do is to let herself go |

This song makes the desert a metaphor for life, because we have to stand all its tests to survive so then we return to nothing (or the places religious thoughts say that souls belong). The saviour may be jesus, buda or any other prophet or messiah that tells people to be generous and keep good natured. Most people take religion as a comfort, a thing that gives them hope about life and that gives them strength to keep living. The sacred right all humans should have is this one: the right to believe whatever gives them piece. |
