| Moby – Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad? Lyrics | 10 years ago |

That's weird, I've always heard 'If I'd have known' instead of 'He'll open doors'. As in, If I'd have known what was waiting for me after I was born I would have chosen to not be born. |

Another way in which this song could be taken [if it didn't have the word 'Baby' in it] is someone asking for God to show himself. It reminds of Ill Mind of Hopsin 7 where he says 'Show yourself and then boom it's done, I no longer doubt the shit you're the one.' They would give up all of their worldly possessions and leave it all for him, it's a pretty straightforward interpretation, but of course some of the lyrics don't fit with it. I agree with the Archduke Franz Ferdinand interpretation, but like Serj Tankian says, the meaning is whatever the listener makes it. |

Very beautiful song lyrics, it's quite saddening that I am the first comment on this song. This song is only made more visceral when you learn that the lead singer, Anthony Basurto, died at the age of 26 in 2011. |

| @[Keldon:1937] I agree with this interpretation. I think he's also saying that he hopes she's doing all right because in the last line he says, "When you hear this song I hope that it will give you hell, you could sing along, I hope that it will treat you well." | |
