| I believe very strongly that this song is meant to be spiritual. So many people keep using the word "I" as the lyric, when in truth, if you listen to the song, he says, "I don't regret the life YOU chose for me." Further, if you question this interpretation it might be helpful to listen to another one of his songs, "What About Now," which is also spiritual in nature.
