Wow. For those who think Creed has no talent, please name a band who has more. For those of you who say Creed are scabs, please tell me how it is that no one wanted to give them a deal because they thought "Rock" was dead. Where is Pearl Jam now, by the way? Oh, I think I saw Eddie Vedder at an AUCTION!! Because that is the one place where you can actually understand that freak! It is an insult to call Creed a Pearl Jam cover band, because they have so much more than ONE album, called 10 - because there were 10 songs on it... wow... the only thing more genius would be to call your album "Guy Warbles While Other Guys Play Instruments". For those of you who doubt the depth of Creed's lyrics... I challenge you to give me the meaning of "My Sacrifice"... But, then again, you know... "Daughter" is a pretty DEEP song lyrically..... "Don't call me daughter...." Come on, people, yes your opinions are yours, and I am not saying you are stupid, or anything, but back them up with WHY you feel that way? Because LIMP BIZKIT and Fred Durst (SO much talent) told you to? Come on..... |

Actually, chosen1, I will agree for the "most part" with the others. You have looked into this song for its deeper meaning, but I am not so sure about your analysis of "...if the face inside can't see the light I know I'll have to walk alone And if I walk alone to the other side I know I might not make it home." I don't think it is "the light of Christ can't be seen in him by God, he'll have to walk alone", because God doesn't forsake. Just because the light isn't shining for outward notice, Jesus wouldn't leave him to walk alone. Try this on for size, let me know how it fits. How about the face inside actually being his conscience, and if he can't see the light, the truth, then he won't be saved, and will be left to walk alone. By your analysis, you leave it that man can be saved, and then not saved by some action, like not letting the light shine. But with this deeper look, I am saying that Scott is talking about the ability of himself to find the light. |
