Its Deaner talking in 2nd person about himself. Working himself to death to stay "well" (meaning not sick from dope) and it is about trying to look good for his S.O. Alot of them where hard up for cash and where doing shady shit like heroin - a drug I have had a addiction too before - bouncing checks, anything to stay well and keep shit together without falling apart. Listen to chocolate town after this and put it together.. This shit a puzzle. The band are all normal people like you and me.. we all have hard times and mounds to cross. Quebec was about depression, addiction, love, and unity with friends and fam. |

| You and the guy below are correct. It is about buying drugs in a part of town that is predominantly black, hence calling it chocolate town. And it was a particular place, that I am not at liberty to say as I am a friend of Deaner, that is in Penn. The whole album called Quebec for a reason as well. Acadian. Put it together.
