| Iron & Wine – Innocent Bones Lyrics

The line "There ain't a penthouse Christian that wants the pain or the scab, but they all want the scar" sounds to me like those Christians who claim to be part of something massive, that they in some way feel what people like Moses went through or Noah, or Jesus himself. They want to tell people that's what "their people" have gone through, they'll swear up and down that they feel that pain but all they want is that title, not the actual pain of having been crucified, the struggles of building that ark or guiding people through a desert or parting some red sea (pardon the frankness but I'm not Christian) |

@[absolutionprincess:1683] I think it's a song Matt wrote when he was piss-on-the-floor drunk. Coincidentally, your interpretation is probably what he thinks about whilst drunk. |

| Muse – Butterflies and Hurricanes Lyrics

The song's theme is based mainly off the butterfly effect. This being that the smallest event today, like the flapping of a butterfly's wings can have some drastic change in the future; in this theory's - and this song's - case it's a hurricane. |

@[ADTR2014:1681] "The gatherings hold candles" is about an LGBT candle-lit sort of farewell ceremony. They're commonly held when someone in a community dies, either by their hand or another's, who lost their life ultimately due to their sexuality. (Usually things like gangs that beat up homosexuals, or suicide over bullying). |

@[Indieboy2506:1680] The song is stated to be based off both the homosexual children who committed suicide in the month of September, 2010; as well as Tim's nephew's gay best friend who also committed suicide in December, 2011. |
