"I've got a blank space baby, and I'll write your name" reminds me of the anime death note. Everytime I hear this song I think of that anime. The video reminds me of death note too with the Apple and everything. I'm pretty sure the real meaning behind it was to show what other people are thinking of her. But I still think of death note! |

I think this song is about how he loves this girl (Emily) and would do anything for her but, she always has a positive view on things where he has a negative view on things. He doesn't think he is the right person for her. He loves her but feels like she needs someone who he can never be. "I die each time you look away" to me this means, everytime she's with others he feels as if she may stop loving him and fall in love with some else. "Maybe she can save me in the oceans of her dreams" he's hoping maybe he can change for her sake and make her happy and be the man of her dreams (everything she's ever wanted) "Emily will find a better place to fall asleep" he thinks she could find someone better then him. "She belongs to fairytales that I can never be" he doesn't think he is good enough for her and thinks it'd be better if she was with someone other then him. That's my opinion! I love this song! |

I think its about along distance relationship, but because of the distance they are breaking up and decide to just stay friends. "And my burden to bear is a love I can't carry anymore" I think she feels bad that she's ending the relationship over something they both can't help but she doesn't think she could go on dating them anymore. "Hoping one day I'll breathe again" makes me think she's hoping one day they will move closer to each other and then they can date again, she's finds it hard to breathe without them. "All I have, all I need is the air I would kill to breathe" she'd do anything to be able to be closer to them and make it work. "Car is parked, bags are packed. What kinda heart doesn't look back?" She is going back home and leaving the one she loves. "And my secrets become your truth" she tells them it's not working out and they are going to have to call it off for awhile. "And the distance between that was sheltering me comes in full view" she realizes how far they are away from each other and just how hard it is to be away from the one they love. "Hang my head, break my heart, from all I torn apart" she is sad that they are breaking it off even though there's a chance they may be together again. She knows she's breaking up with someone who really loves her and she hates to tear there love apart. Just my option |

This is about communism. "No truth all pretension" they pretend to be something they aren't to keep there people in line and happy. "Speaking for a generation" they are speaking for they're communist community. "Raise your hand to get attention" getting the attention of the leader so they can talk about the community. And it's all I'm the chorus too, the communist comunity wants to take the opposing community's 'red star' because they don't beleve the same way they do. "It's my red star all I know" the communist people are saying this is all we know and we can't change who we are. Just my option! |

"You're way to young to be broken, you're way to young to fall apart" this makes me think that she's depressed. "You're way to young to play these games" makes me think, she's drinking and smoking and hanging out with people who get her in trouble trying to ignore her pain and make it go away. "The second I lit it was your first cigarette and I forgot who you used to be" makes me think with all the alcohol and cigarettes she changed and was someone different but she still wasn't happy. "I've been there too, I know it must seem frightening to have the world fall apart" he trying to tell her that he understands what's she's going through and was once there too but learned that alcohol doesn't fox your problems and he wants to help her. "I'm not the one who wants to hurt you" he is trying to tell her he wants to help her not hurt her. And also makes me think she's abused and he trying to say I don't want to hurt you like they do. I also think this a protective older brother who is worried about his sister because he experienced the same things she did. I just love the lyrics "she's way to young to be broken, she's way too young to fall apart" those are powerful lyrics. My favorite song off the streets of gold album. |

Sounds like a long distance relationship. And he finally moved closer and is going to always be there for her for now on. Like a happy reunion. I love this song, it's special to me because I know someone who is in a long distance relationship and I'm really good friends with the person they are dating. And I can't wait for them to move closer cause they are cute together and they are like family to me so I'll be really happy when they move closer. This song reminds me of them every time I hear it, i love nickelback! |

I think it's really about someone Who is missing or ran away. The chorus sounds like all the questions you ask when someone's missing. "Are you searching for me" makes me think the person went out one day to never return, and he's wondering if they are searching for him and missing him like he misses them. "Took it with you when you left, these scars are just a trace now it wonders lost and wounded this heart that's misplaced" and "thought you were beside me but I reached and you were gone" to me are the most powerful lyrics. I love this song, I listen to it all the time. It reminds me of I friend who went missing and I miss very much. I keep hoping to see them again, I don't know where they are or if I will ever see them again but I still hope. Everytime I hear this song it makes me think of them and I can feel them with me whenever I listen to it. My favorite song by red and my second favorite song ever! |

I think this song sounds like someone who is slowly dying of a illness. And thier lover is holding them and they are saying there goodbyes. "Calling me, calling me as you fade to black" I interpret this as they are dying and their lover is calling their name, as there vision goes black. also.. "safe inside myself are all my thoughts of you" this makes me think that they loved the person they are talking about but never confessed their love for them. And I think the other person loves them too but doesn't tell them and then regrets it. This song is so sad! But one of my favorites off fallen. |
