| To me this song is about having been with someone for a long time, and having them continuously screw you over, and then after it's over, they keep trying to be your friend when you're trying to let go. "take me by the hand and still remeber all the good times we had.. I remember when you took my favorite knife and slipped it under my skin" As if they're trying to be buddy-buddy after all the shit they put you though. You finally feel like you're going to be ok, and then they come back around and try to be nice, you can't help but catch feelings again, somewhat, as much as you know they fucking suck and they're trying to kiss ass now because they aren't really sorry for all the things they've done. They want to pretend it's innocent but they're just trying to cover their own ass. | |
