| Many bands use the lyrics as an additional instrument, where words are only minimally significant. Yes lyrics ,in their early phase , are abstract and support this notion, however, the words convey an emotion, a sentiment, a sense...and do double duty. Many of their songs are beautiful musical poems. The creativity is almost overwhelming, and minimally evident today, but bands such Pinback, have a similar approach....and prolonged this genere of songwriting, even thought he style of music is different. | |
