Okay well I am a bit surprised because I always thought it was obvious that the song was about suicide. I find that all too often people want to interpret lyrics about traditional so called "love" and I guess all music/art is open to interpretation so in the end it's okay I guess. But anyway, the two things I wanted to mention is, I think the lyric is off on one word, though I could be wrong, instead of "I watch you passed out forever" I'm pretty sure it's "I watch you passed out for a while" which would make it rhyme with smile in the next line. Further more about the whole suicide thing if you watch the music video the lead singer gestures down his arm in the way that one would fatally kill themselves, I don't think he's just touching himself at that point for no reason in that way. Again, I could be wrong. |
