| It´s probably not what it was written about, but to me this song, due to the music, feels like it´s about loss of innocence and eventual death. He´s recounting important moments in his life, but by the chorus he has become jaded and is reflecting on the strange mystery of it all. He sees dying as simply joining the endless river of life (the "street parade"). Never fading, always flowing toward something we aren´t aware of. | |
